Over 15 years ago, I attended my first auction on a whim with my father. As I talked to other people, I learned about how people buy and sell items to make a little money.
As our family's finances needed a boost, I started attending more and more auctions to buy items to resale online. All the farm primitives I had always taken for granted on my father-in-law's farm, I now saw with new eyes as I self-educated in the world of antiques, primitives, and collectibles.
Very quickly, our business outgrew the Old Grainery on my father-in-law's farm and all his barns. In 2005, we built a beautiful warehouse to help us expand and keep our inventory all under one roof. My hobby had taken off into a full-time business with a wonderful staff.
